This is our go to cattery now. The staff seem to be happy and motivated, and they show real interest in the cats.

This was the first time we used this cattery and was very happy with the service, was sent updates while on holiday, was very worried about leaving our Bean we haven’t been away from her. She was very well looked after and content when we picked her up. Definitely recommend 😊

My cat had an extended stay a few years ago and as a result of neglect at this facility was returned to me covered in huge mats and psychologically traumatised. He's never been the same since. I got excuses such as 'he hissed a lot' as reasons for not giving him attention. The degree to which his condition was when I got him back, only showed how he was left to his own devices for the entirety of his stay. I got e-mails back from the owner taking zero accountability for his state. I would not recommend this place for any cat/pet owner.

We were really happy with this cattery. It was our first time being away from our cat since we adopted her in October and the first time we believe she's been in a cattery so I was a bit anxious about leaving her. The staff were lovely and she was well cared for while we were away. We'll definitely be using the cattery again!

I can’t speak highly enough about the treatment our cat received over the last three years at Town Furlong. The staff are lovely and always a pleasure to deal with. Our cat was always happy and came home well fed. Most recently he needed extended boarding for months at a time over the last six month due to back logs of quarantine spots in Australia due to a family move. They helped us with the transport company, mailed his belongings we couldn’t move on board (air tag). The whole transport to Quarantine has been incredibly smooth with a laid back and happy cat and I credit that to his holiday stays and latter boarding while waiting for transport. The staff here treated him as family and gave him all the attention he needed. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them.
Reading the previous reviews - I would say trust them and their processes. They work and are best for the animal.

My elderly cranky cat was super-chilled after her 5 day stay. I appreciated the quick communication about a change of collection time. We will be back.

I would not use this cattery again based on overall first impressions. I was not allowed to view in person before booking and was only offered a virtual tour. On the day of arrival I was met by 3 young girls who didn't seem professional or prepared. I was not asked if I had deflead my cat and I was not allowed to settle my cat in his chalet with COVID given as the excuse. As restrictions have lifted elsewhere in the country, it seems a rather lame excuse, particularly given that the mesh partitions allow plenty of fresh air in. I would have been prepared to wear a mask or gloves if asked but this doesn't appear to be an option.
The chalet was not prepared for his arrival with no water, food or a blanket / bed laid down for him. I saw another cat with empty bowls, pointed this out and was told that he had just been dropped off. I was encouraged to leave fairly quickly before seeing if my cat received these things which left me worrying they may forget for awhile.
They need to understand cats come from a variety of backgrounds, not all happy. Our cat was adopted by us 1 year ago at 11 months old rom OAS having been returned there twice by previous owners. I was very nervous returning him to a similar environment where he may feel abandoned and it was very important to me to have time to settle him in.
This cattery seriously needs to move with the times. Most other catteries now open on Sundays for drop offs and collections but not here where you are forced to pay the extra day and our cat had to spend another day there despite us being home again. I collected him at 9am on Monday but was charged the extra day and when I questioned this, I was told to refer to the website which I did not find to be overly clear. I have since found another cattery near Didcot which is £3 a day cheaper, allows you to collect on Sundays and if you collect early enough, you are not charged for that day.
Our cat also returned home ravenous and while this was possibly because he was too upset to eat, I was left wondering if he had received any breakfast.
I have used many catteries in my time (Portway in Ardley are excellent but sadly a bit far) and this one I found lacking in quite a few vital areas.

My 3 cats stayed here whilst I was in between houses. They were totally flexible with the duration which was very helpful as I wasn't sure how long they needed to be cared for. Additionally, one of my cats became seriously ill just prior to the start of their stay and needed isolation and regular medication. This was all catered for and they even took him to my vet for a check up. They are very good with communication and happy to use email. I've used Town Furlong since and thoroughly recommend them.

Staff were friendly and helpful, I asked for a couple of text updates through the week while I was away, because our cat hasn't stayed away from us before, and they did send an email to let us know she was ok, albeit the day before we collected her. I left our cat with a t shirt (that smelled of us) and a towel and both of these were soaked with urine and had simply been left in with her when I collected her. Her bed also had some urine on it and a couple of poo stains. Our cat will not be staying here again.
